1 cup glutinous rice flour

1 cup white sugar

1 cup coconut milk

½ stick butter

½ cup evaporated milk

Banana leaves

Cooking Procedures:

1.     Soak the rice flours (malagkit and ordinary rice) overnight. Grind the following day. You can use a blender to do this.

2.     In a nonstick pan, put the rice flours and cocoa, followed by the remaining ingredients and cook over low fire.

3.     Stir constantly until thick and smooth. Set aside and cool.

For the white mixture, repeat the process above and set aside and cool.

4.     Grease the banana leaves with butter or oil to prevent the mixture from sticking to the leaves.

5.     Put 1 tbsp. of the chocolate and 1 tbsp. of white mixture. Roll the mixture to form a suman or tube shape and tie with strings in both end to secure. They should be looked swirled together. Repeat the process until all are well wrapped.

6.     Steam for half an hour in a double boiler container or a steamer.
